IN the spirit of the Coorie theme of 21 August, the cultural platform Kiltr was invited to curate the day’s Butterfly Rammy.

Many people found the camaraderie of the independence campaign one of its most enjoyable features and, among other things, the panel explored how the conversation can be widened so that it includes those it is currently missing.

The guests Kiltr brought along were political performance artist Chunky Mark the Artist Taxi Driver, Scottish rapper and blogger Darren McGarvey (aka Loki), Victoria Heaney from the Radical Independence Campaign and Kiltr CEO Brian Hughes.

The hosts Tam and Pauline performed Dave Hook’s piece from the Coorie chapter of the Butterfly Rammy book.

Butterfly Rammy will run until 30 August at the Stand in the Square.

Each show is based around one Scots word that represents ‘Butterfly Rammy’–the multiple and diverse thinking and activism that developed through the independence movement.
