The American filmmaker had previously predicted Trump would win the US election
AUTHOR and filmmaker Michael Moore has published a series of suggested steps for Americans who oppose Trump in the wake of his election success.
The creator of Bowling For Columbine and Fahrenheit 9/11 successfully predicted Trump would be elected during the summer with a five-point list of reasons.
Now, he's released a five-point list of actions, scathing of "pundits, predictors, pollsters" in the media and calling on Democrats to step aside from the party unless they're prepared to "fight, resist and obstruct in the way Republicans did against President Obama every day for eight full years".
Trump caused shockwaves around the world as results of the US presidential election came in on Wednesday. The billionaire, who has never held public office, won 278 electoral votes next to 2018 for Democrat rival Hillary Clinton, giving him the 270 required to take office.
Trump has been heavily criticised for his attitudes towards women and minorities, and Scottish political leaders expressed concerns in the immediate aftermath of the result.
On Twitter, Trump said: "Such a beautiful and important evening! The forgotten man and woman will never be forgotten again. We will all come together as never before."
