A new British Medical Association Scotland survey has found that one in four doctors are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, burnout, emotional distress or other mental health condition relating to or made worse by their work. The survey also found one in five believed they were not able to access the support for their wellbeing they would like. BMA Scotland chief Dr Lewis Morrison said changes that have been made since the crisis began, including the introduction of wellbeing spaces and the removal of parking charges, have made a difference, and shown the need for more long-term changes to support the wellbeing of health workers.
