The Equality and Human Rights Commission has said that it is “concerned” that plans to grade exams which include assessment of previous years results could be illegal. The equalities watchdog said the SQA had so far been “unable to demonstrate that they have considered any equality issues in this area”. SQA chief executive Fiona Robertson said it was working with the EHRC on an equality impacts assessment.
