Professor Nigel Seaton, principal of Abertay University, has said that free tuition fees in Scotland is under threat due to the dramatic drop expected in the number of foreign students arriving in Scotland next year, who’s fees help subsidise the policy. Seaton said it was “inconceivable” that the volume of foreign students needed to finance free tuition would be maintained.
