Loneliness has “more than doubled” due to the lockdown in Scotland, new research has found. A poll by YouGov and the Mental Health Foundation Scotland found 24 per cent of adults reported feeling lonely since the lockdown, compared to 11 per cent in a survey conducted shortly before the lockdown. Lee Knifton, Mental Health Foundation Scotland Director, said that they were concerned that the longer the lockdown goes on for “the more feelings become long-term”. (STV)
