The QC for Alex Salmond in his recent Trial faces an investigation after self-referring himself to the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission. Gordon Jackson referred himself after footage emerged of hi describing the former First Minister and his client as a “sex pest” and a “nasty person to work for” on a busy train while the trial was ongoing. Responding to the Sunday Times story, Jackson said he did not regard Salmond as a sex pest and that his words have been “taken out of context and misreported”. Salmond was found not guilty to a series of sexual assault charges by a jury last week. (BBC)
