The Scottish Government is delaying the implementation of new regulation on the energy efficiency of private rental housing. The new regulation, due to come into force 1 April, would have prohibited PRS landlords from renting out flats which fall below minimum energy efficiency standards. In announcing the delay, Housing Minister Kevin Stewart said enforcing the regulation would have been an unnecessary burden on Local Authorities at this time. (Scottish Housing News)
