Scotland is currently not prepared for a Covid-19 vaccine, a professor has warned. Professor Phil Greening of Heriot-Watt University said that the problems of PPE will be “magnified by a thousand” when a vaccine is developed, as every country will want to access it at the same time, but delivering a mass vaccine requires fridges, vehicles and syringes on a scale that Scotland and the UK does not currently have. He warned that mass vaccine may have to start in one part of the country, probably London, and then be rolled out to the rest of the UK. (The Herald)
