SNP MSP Bob Doris has urged the UK Government to end the “two-tier” Universal Credit system, calling for the extra cash going to Universal Credit claimants to also be given to those on Job Seekers Allowance. UC claimants are set to receive around £95 a week, whereas JSA claimants get around £20 less. Doris said the “unfair disparity”, which also hits those on Employment Support Allowance and Income Support, had to end. (Daily Record)
