WATCH: What is the Govanhill Swap Market?

Opened in September, the Govanhill Swap Market is a new concept in Glasgow’s southside. 

You can ‘swap’ items, knowledge and skills, with a fluctuating exchange rate by which you can gain varying levels of points – based both on supply and demand and what the community values. Govanhill is one of Scotland’s most diverse neighbourhoods, so the Swap Market has Romanes and Urdu translaters available to help with the interactions.
